The Champs Mentoring Champs "Start with Art" Project is committed to developing, enhancing and tapping into the creative instincts of children ages 4 and up who reside in the Malvern and surrounding areas with the intent to address the lack of affordable Artistic projects that would broaden their horizons and expose them to a world that they would otherwise not have access to.  "Start with Art" programs endeavors to equip youth and young people with the tools they will need to become productive members of society. This would be addressed by identifying the systemic barriers to financial freedom and at the same time giving them a road map to exit poverty.

 

This Artistic Program will consist of all the Fine Arts which include but are not limited to Visual art and Performing Arts, Photography, Spoken Word and Poetry. The mission and commitment of the "Start with Art" Programs is to ensure that every young person and youth that accesses our programs is set up for success and by doing so we are committed to instilling in them a work ethic that will equip them along with other tools that they can use to further their studies and which will translate into a sound and secure way of living their lives.

The "Start with Art" Projects is offered as an after school program and summer art camps. These camps are located in three different locations in the Greater Toronto Area "GTA".

In addition, the tutoring, March break, Peer Mentoring and Team Mentoring,  also serves a dual purpose to deter and keep them on the path of success.

Champs Mentoring Champs is an organization that is trying to address the less obvious and often over looked need of artistic development in the lives of young people and youths.  The exposure of the arts is a vital component to living a holistic life living out a well-rounded healthy life for these young people and youth is a challenge our organization is quite ready and willing to undertake.
